Springtime on the Vis island

ISIT THE ISLAND OF VIS– RICH WITH NATURE, CULTURAL HERITAGE, FISHING TRADITION AND WELCOMING INDIVIDUALS.

We will take you on a quest to an entirely various world, where there is no stress and every little thing is simple, special and deeply enjoyable. Get up and inhale the sea breeze, take pleasure in the view of fishermen trawling their fishnets in a standard way, taste the initial island items, take a walk in the wineries, delight in the view over olive-groves, get some of the natural herbs and listen for the pheasants. Forget the time, it feels as if it has stopped around here, travel from ancient times to present day, walk the footprints of old Illyrian people, see picturesque little towns whose stone residences are witnesses of the past, feel the opulence of herbs.

Lodging Details

Komiza is a poetic fisherman’s town with the most sunny days in a year, with hundred year old carob trees, picturesque stone houses, medical mediterranean plants and vinyards which are covering the hillsides.

Komiža riva

We are located in the oasis of biodiversity discovered on the list of the Area Wildlife Fund (WWF) as amongst the ten heavenly places in the Mediterranean. A long fishing tradition is present all over. One of the most powerful marks is Gajeta FalkuÅ¡a- a famous fishermen’s boat, a highlight of that tradition.

You will be accommodated in the restored and renovated stone home. It is a lovely, two-storey, town house situated in a tiny courtyard just off Komiza’s main pedestrian walkway. Entrance to the asset is with a gate and small outdoor patio. A cooking area, dining area and small bathroom occupy the ground floor. A flight of stone steps leads upstairs along the exterior of the building to the first floor with main bathroom and extra kitchenette.

There are four double bedrooms and a bathroom spread over the first and second floors. The bedroom windows have birds eye views of the treetops and pantiled roofs. The rooms are bright and airy, painted in warm shades of lemon and terracotta. The bedrooms have beautiful old wardrobes and dresser drawers. The floors are hardwood, the home furnishings tasteful and uncluttered. All in all, a house of character and charm. Suitable for 10 person maximum.

Komiža is one of those places that are impossible to be indifferent to, that you can fall in love with ease which justifies the placement of island of Vis as one of the Ten last paradise resorts on Mediterranean, by WWF (World Wildlife Fund).
